alright, i give on the monolithic. i've always used and heard the first definition, but i acknowledge that you used it correctly. not that it actually matters, but the "random" in the oh-so-eloquent title of "random prose" was in fact referring to my writing it, not needing catharsis at the time, or not feeling any of the emotions in the writing in any way, and not have any inspiration for it that i could think of. i wasn't trying to say that the prose i wrote was actually abstract. however, thank you for keeping me on my toes and correcting me, nonetheless.
